Meet the Team

  • Rev. Casey Garcia

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT OF HEAVENLY CALL MINISTRIES

Reverend Casey Garcia, President and Founder of Heavenly Call Ministries is an ordained minister with the United Evangelical Churches.  At the time of this writing he and his wife Julie have six children in all, Seven grandchildren and one great grandson

In 1980, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior,  Shortly thereafter the call to preach became evident and he preached his first sermon in 1981 using Isaiah 35:8 as his text.

He completed his theological studies at Global Outreach Bible Institute in Modesto, California in 1993.  After graduating with a B.A. in Biblical Theology he worked as a manager for different companies while serving in ministry as an Evangelist as well as doing short term missions. When he is not away on a mission trip he does evangelistic work and leads a men's discipleship program at the Modesto Gospel Mission for men who are in the process of recovering from all types of worldly allurements & vises.

In 2024, while on a mission trip to Kenya, Africa he and his wife Julie met and worked with several Missionaries, Pastors, and Bishops.  It was there that the need for a greater theological understanding for indigenous ministers was presented to him.  There are many eager pastors leading congregations without formal theological training due to extreme poverty and the lack of resources.  Together with his wife Julie Heavenly Call Ministries was conceived with the purpose and vision of establishing Heavenly Call Bible Colleges beginning in the Kibera slum located in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya; along with a second campus in Naivasha, and a third campus in Tabora Tanzania.

The purpose and vision of Heavenly Call Ministries is to provide indigenous ministers who have been limited due to extreme poverty and the lack of resources with a greater Christian World View through the use of BTCP (Biblical Training Center for Pastors) materials. Thereby expanding the work of God’s Kingdom.

The name Heavenly Call Ministries is derived from Hebrews 3:1a.   It’s an open invitation to all of God's holy people to come share in this Heavenly Calling to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you : and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the ends of the world. Amen ” Matt: 28:19-20.

Please prayerfully consider sharing in this Heavenly Call to equip the next generation of “Heavenly Called” ministers throughout the globe.  Amen.

Rev. John’s ministry extends to reaching high school students through evangelism and biblical teaching.  He also leads a Christ centered drug recovery program where he walks through the recovery process with students as they learn to walk in the freedom and deliverance from drug addiction that is found in Christ Jesus.  Together with his wife Nancy they minister to widows and orphans by providing encouragement and imparting biblical knowledge through preaching and teaching as is described in James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.”  In doing so he faces many challenges in the Kibera slum where there is extreme poverty, drug abuse, young marriages, HIV, among many other social ills that lead to broken families.  There is no doubt that he honors the words of Jesus Christ found in Mark 16:15.  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” believing that “serving humanity is serving God.”
